Assassins Creed Revelations, has been released and we here at Massive had a small part to play with that title so I wanted to say a well done to everyone involved.
Just I quick update for this weekend. Evo 2011 is happening in Las Vegas this weekend, for anyone who doesn’t know this is the years biggest tournament in the west. legends are born and opponents are crushed.
Head over to SRK for all your coverage.
I will be back next week with an update on Evo and other events which have been happening out here in Sweden.
I found Vanguard Princess from a thread on Shoruyken.com, I’m a really big fighting game fan so it was a sure thing I would give it a go.
First off it’s free to download and play which is amazing for what it is, however it’s a little bit of a hassle to get working. Vanguard Princess is a windows only programme so if you haven’t got parallels for mac or access to a Windows machine your out of luck. Also its Japanese language only so you also need the Asian Language pack installed on your copy of windows.
So on with the install, If like me you are installing it on a Windows 7 you need a programme called Windows AppLocale However this programme is not supported by Windows 7 so it wont let you just download and click the installer.
Here’s how to install AppLocale on Windows 7:
1. Place the AppLocale installer (apploc.msi) in your C: drive.
2. Go to your start menu, type cmd in the search box.
3. Hold down crtl+shift and click on cmd.exe.
4. Select Yes when a dialog asks if you want the program to make chances to your computer.
5. The command prompt should show C:\Windows\System32.
6. Type cd\ and press enter to navigate to the C: drive.
7. Type apploc.msi and press enter, the installer will appear.
8. Install the application.
It sounds more complicated than it really is.
The game has a lot more in common with something like Guilty Gear than Street Fighter, which might not be to everyones taste but play the game and your’ll be amazing how complete the experience is since it was mostly developed by one person.

Just a quick one.
add to the wish list, Rainbow macbook keyboard.
So last year while I was in New York in I picked up at the time apples new 15′ i7 macbook pro. Since I’ve had the machine it’s been flawless, awesome screen much faster than my mid 2008 iMac all round a great package. But one thing I’ve never used is the Superdrive. Transferring files I normally just connect over the network, anything bigger than a 1 gb I normally use a usb stick, it back ups via the time capsule which I also use as storage.
Like the floppy disk before it, are the optical disc obsolete?
I’m sure if you were to ask sony they would claim their Bluray is more relevant than ever but I disagree. As internet bandwidth increases and price of data storage drops, the place for removable storage like the DVD and Bluray is fast collapsing.
As such I’ve been looking at one of these to replace the super drive with an SSD. After looking around I’ve found a load of similar products on eBay from Hong Kong which in all likely hood is where MCE have their bays manufactured.
I’ll post an update as and when this gets off the ground.
